The Mamali Trail 12K begins and ends at Mamali Festival Base Camp, situated at 1,420 metres in the Larissa region of Greece. This 12 km mountain trail race features 514 metres of elevation gain and is intended for participants aged 16 and above who are proficient in trail running or moving quickly on mountain terrain. With a limit of 200 runners, it offers a more intimate festival atmosphere compared to large road races.
The course primarily consists of off-road sections, with approximately 10 km on beech forest trails, complemented by dirt roads and brief asphalt stretches. This loop follows the BLACK YARD Ultra course, allowing participants in the shorter race to experience the same terrain as the longer event. Mountain Enduro Camp organizes the race as part of the Mamali Festival. The Base Camp provides amenities such as free camping, showers, toilets, electronic timing, a post-race meal, finisher medals, sponsor gifts, and race photography.
