About this race
ATOMfutás begins next to the ASE Sports Hall in Paks, offering a full-day running schedule for children, solo runners, and relay teams. The program includes short morning races of 600 m, 2000 m, and 3000 m, followed by longer road distances: 7 km, 14 km, a half marathon, and the 32 km 3/4 marATOM. The longer races have strict time limits: 2 hours 45 minutes for the half marathon and 4 hours for the 32 km, with a bus following the last runners at 8 km per hour.
The 32 km race is open to solo participants or 2-3 person relay teams with designated exchange points at Sárgödör tér, the ASE hall, and the Paksi Atomerőmű TLK. The Buliváltó offers a more relaxed, social team event for 5-10 people covering the same distance, allowing teams to select their own handover locations. Aid stations are positioned approximately every 4-5 km. All finishers receive shirts and distinctive medals. Complementary activities include bouncy castles, sports games, an obstacle course, a food court, massage services, and health-related programs. Olympic champion dr. Antal Kovács serves as the event patron, with awards presented to individuals and teams across categories from the youngest children to age 60+.
