IRONMĀORI Tamariki & Rangatahi 2026

IRONMĀORI Tamariki & Rangatahi is a run/walk for children and youth held at Spriggs Park, 4 Hardinge Road, Ahuriri, Napier. The event offers short distances: tamariki aged 5 to 12 can complete the 1km, older tamariki aged 8 to 12 can choose the 3km or 5km, and rangatahi aged 13 to 17 can participate in the youth races. Check-in and race pack collection begin in the morning. Each pack contains a race number and t-shirt. The courses are flat and accessible, with 1km, 3km, and 5km options available. The event emphasizes participation, confidence, hauora, and community connection, making it suitable for first-timers and sporty children alike. A Kaumātua walk/run for individuals aged 55 and over is also included, with 500m, 1km, and 3km course choices. Prize giving occurs after the last finisher, aligning with the event’s focus on all participants completing the course.
