Wander Women Adventure Race 2026

Wander Women Adventure Race guides women’s teams along a secret course using only a map and clue sheet. The series takes place in New Zealand, with venues such as Whangarei in Northland and the Pohutukawa Coast in Auckland. The race begins in the morning, offering early-start options for some teams. This is a women-only navigation and adventure race for teams of two or four, featuring trekking or running, mountain biking, checkpoints, and mystery activities. Teams earn points by locating checkpoints and completing challenges. The team with the most points in the fastest time wins. The short course is designed for beginners, featuring basic navigation, non-technical biking, approximately 5-7 km off-road on foot, and 10-15 km on the bike; most teams complete it in 2-6 hours. The medium course is also beginner-friendly but more demanding, with about 10-15 km of off-road walking or jogging and around 25 km of mountain biking on forestry roads and farmland; most teams take 5-9 hours. Participants must be age 13 or older, with prizes awarded in Open, Veterans, and Masters categories.
