Course de l'Indépendance de Cracovie 2026

Krakow’s Independence Run is a 10-kilometer road race held annually on Polish Independence Day in November. The start and finish are located near Błonia Park. Thousands of runners, dressed in white and red jerseys, form a moving Polish flag before proceeding through the streets of the former capital. The primary event is a fast 10K, with some years also including shorter races like the Independence Mile and Nordic Walking events. The day commences with the national anthem, lending the race a more solemn atmosphere than a typical city run, though the mood remains cheerful. The course winds through Krakow’s historic streets, with Wawel Castle in proximity and the Vistula River visible from the castle vicinity. Following the race, many participants proceed to the Main Market Square and the Cloth Hall. There, official festivities, patriotic music, St. Martin’s croissants, and hot chocolate continue the holiday observance post-race.
