Festiwal Biegowy Sadecka Dycha 2026

Sądecka Dycha is a 10 km road race in southern Poland, held as part of Festiwal Biegowy. It starts at noon from the Sucha Polana parking area, 608 m above sea level, above Piwniczna-Zdrój. The finish is in Piwniczna-Zdrój at Nakło, within the festival’s running village. Locally, it is called Poland’s fastest 10k, largely because of the steep initial drop: runners descend 231 metres in the first 5 km, with a short uphill section within that descent. The course is almost entirely asphalt, with a brief cobblestone section. The time limit is 1.5 hours. The race proceeds from Kosarzyska towards Piwniczna, then turns near the Poprad river towards the Hanuszów estate before returning to town. After the initial downhill, the course levels for over 4 km, demanding careful pacing as the profile might suggest. Runners who push too hard on the descent may struggle later. The route follows Węgierska, Daszyńskiego, and Kościuszki streets, crosses the bridge, and leads runners onto Nakło for the final kilometre. A shuttle service is available from the ORLEN station on Krakowska Street to the start, which is important as this is a point-to-point race.
