Wyścig kolarski po ziemi Łódzkiej is a road cycling race series in the Łódź region, organized by the Okręgowy Związek Kolarski w Łodzi. Available results and regulations connect it to the Sulejów event, where participants compete within their age categories, rather than all covering the same distance. In the Młodziczki category for younger girls, the race consisted of one lap covering 16.3 km. The results show Amelia Tomczak of LUKS Dwójka Stryków placed 7th, and her clubmate Kamila Niewiadomska finished 40th, indicating a local youth racing scene supported by clubs from the area.
At the Nordic Walking European Championships, speed is not the sole determinant: judges assess the correct application of nordic walking technique. This continental event takes place in Bełchatów, Poland, gathering elite athletes from across Europe. Standard race distances include 5 km, 10 km, 20 km, and marathon. Results are categorized by gender within open divisions and by age groups. Certain editions also feature separate classifications for athletes with disabilities. The course design prioritizes measured walking races where technique influences the outcome as much as speed, rather than focusing on a renowned landmark route. Championship medals and trophies are presented, and points contribute to the World Nordic Walking League standings, with the event holding Continental Championship significance. Bełchatów has previously hosted a World Cup round, and the European Championships are supported by the World Original Nordic Walking Federation. Marco Kantaneva, the founder of Nordic Walking, is expected as a special guest, connecting the event directly to the sport’s origins.
Running: Locals run Piotrków on park alleys, river bends, and old-town streets. Park im. J. S. F. J. M. Sienkiewicza works for easy laps, Park im. Jana Pawła II gives you central alleys, and Park im. R. W. Berwińskiego keeps things asphalted for steady intervals. The Wolbórka River route is the normal call when you want water, bridges, and a calm Z2 line. Las Białkowski handles longer training when pavement feels stale. Piotrcovia Piotrków Trybunalski, Concordia Piotrków Trybunalski, and Klub Sportowy Polanik Piotrków Trybunalski sit in the local club scene. Nocny Polmaraton Piotrkowski, Maraton Piotrkowski, and Bieg w Wigilię anchor the calendar.
Cycling: Locals ride Piotrków for base miles more than mountain drama. 480 kilometers of dedicated bike paths and pedestrian-cycle routes, so weekday spins stay simple. The first climb runs 5 km and gains 493 m. The second climb is 1 km and 388 m ascent. The third climb runs 7 km with 234 m ascent, while 21A to 21B brings the sharper climb feel. The climbs sit in those rolling route profiles, not in named hills. Wyścig Kolarski po Ziemi Łódzkiej is the anchor race name.
Season: July and August bring the biggest bike mood in Piotrków, and locals use those months for longer rides, Z2, and steady group rhythm. September points runners toward Nocny Polmaraton Piotrkowski, May points them toward Maraton Piotrkowski, June brings 10 km racing, and April brings Półmaraton Piotrków. Summer keeps the parks, Wolbórka paths, Staw Cegielnia, and the 813 listed cycle routes busy without feeling complicated. Winter changes the tone, because runners still get Bieg w Wigilię on December 24th and Polanikowy Bieg Mikołajowy at Concordia stadium, while cyclists usually trade big loops for shorter, cleaner spins.
