PINK RACE

Pink Race starts and finishes at PreZero Arena Gliwice, with each race run as a loop from the same venue. It is a women’s cycling event from Polish Bike Tour, organized by girls for girls, and it is scheduled in the spring part of the Polish cycling calendar. Entry is capped at 100 riders per race, so the fields are deliberately small rather than mass-participation sized. Riders can choose a 100 km Gravel route focused on comfort and enjoyment, or a 150 km Road route for those seeking speed and a longer day on the bike. The series also includes an MTB XCC Short Track race, offering a sharper, off-road format alongside the longer road and gravel options. The organizers present the day as a cycling holiday centered on passion, the joy of riding, and a women-first atmosphere, with Justyna Jarczok serving as one of its ambassadors.

Gliwicki Bieg Kolorowych Skarpetek

The Gliwicki Bieg Kolorowych Skarpetek is a local run and Nordic walking event in Gliwice, Poland, held in the Nowe Gliwice area near the Cechownia building on Bojkowska Street. It takes place around World Down Syndrome Day. The fifth edition maintains a relaxed format, allowing participants to run, walk, start as a group, or begin individually. The distinctive feature is the requirement for participants to wear colorful, mismatched socks, symbolizing acceptance and respect for individuals with Down syndrome. Fundacja Tośka i Przyjaciele organizes the event with assistance from Gliwice running groups. It is designed for families as well as runners, attracting individuals, relatives, children on bikes or scooters, strollers, and even dogs. A family picnic accompanies the event, which also raises funds for summer holidays for children and young people with disabilities.

About cycling & running in Gliwice

Gliwice Training Notes

Running: Locals run Gliwice like a compact Silesian training grid. The 77 km loop climbs 80 m, so it works for steady Z2 or controlled intervals. Park Kultury i Wypoczynku keeps the easy days simple, and the Kłodnica river gives the city centre a clean line to follow. Piast Gliwice, GTK Gliwice, Sośnica Gliwice, and Gliwice LIONS give the club scene its local names. The clubs run 95 km, 10 km, 5 km, and Nordic walking events. XI Gliwicka Dycha, Pink Race, Bieg Oko w Oko z Rakiem, and Gliwicka Parkowa Prowokacja Biegowa keep the calendar busy.

Cycling: Locals ride out of Gliwice with plenty of choice, because the map carries 3,086 cycle routes. Rowerowe Gliwice sits right in the local bike mix, and Patryk Sasin, Lukasz, Kranzzo, chassan, and Miko88 show how much gets logged here. One route runs 4 km and climbs 166 m. Another route runs 2 km and climbs 326 m. A third route runs 6 km and climbs 1,296 m. PBT Rozjazd / Ultramaraton Rowerowy and Triathlon Gliwice feel like the anchor targets.

Season: June and July are the best months, and most people get on their bikes to ride here in the months of June and July. Summer gives runners enough light for Park Wojewódzki laps, city street race prep, and longer base miles before Półmaraton Gliwicki XI on October 25th. The route covers 3 km and climbs 163 m. Winter changes the rhythm for both sports, because the brief gives no winter race block, so locals keep it simple with steady running, shorter rides, and whatever cyclocross or singletrack mood the Silesian Highlands allow.
