Groningen is famously flat and bicycle-friendly, with the city centre and surrounding polder landscape ideal for fast cycling on dedicated routes. The Hondsrug Classic and Veldslag om Norg are the region's signature gravel and road events; runners gravitate to the KardingeRun, a 16km trail through the northern edges.
