Bubble Run | Miami 2026
SAM OCT 3
Bubble Run Miami is a foam-filled fun run at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida. The route is up to 3 miles, but speed is not the point: adults, kids, and people with strollers can run, walk, dance, or play their way through it. Participants usually start in white T-shirts, which makes the colored foam show up fast once they enter the course. The main course feature is a series of Foam Bogs, each filled with a different color of 100% safe foam that can cover runners from head to toe. Bubble-teers are stationed along the way to make sure people get plenty of foam, and the organizers compare the experience to running through Willy Wonka's factory. Starts are managed in waves, with small groups released through each heat, and the event also leans into the costume-and-swag side with merchandise such as T-shirts and tutus.
2026 Average Joe Run 5K - Miami
DIM OCT 4
The Average Joe Run 5K in Miami takes place in Tropical Park, with a route that organizers say follows a beachside path. It is designed for both runners and walkers. The event calls itself the “World’s Easiest 5K,” fitting its relaxed setup rather than a competitive racing format. Fast runners are recognized with awards for the top three men and women overall, and for winners in several age groups. The race’s unique feature is the Average Joe and Average Jane award: the participant finishing exactly in the middle of the pack is honored as the top champion. Each participant receives a personalized bib, a dri-fit event shirt, and a finisher medal. The post-run gathering offers unlimited donuts and coffee.
Devil Dog 5K & 10K Run/Walk
DIM OCT 4
The Devil Dog 5K & 10K Run/Walk begins at South County Regional Park, west of Boca Raton in southern Palm Beach County. Participants can choose between 5K and 10K run/walk distances, with additional Kids K and virtual race options available. This variety accommodates competitive runners, casual walkers, families, and those wishing to contribute remotely. The race derives its name from "Devil Dog," a Marine Corps moniker, and is organized by Marine veteran Wade Waddick. The event's primary goal is to benefit the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, which offers emergency financial assistance to eligible disabled veterans in Florida and addresses gaps in dental care. For nine years, race proceeds have supported this fund. A recent edition raised $104,000, and organizers anticipate over 1,000 participants. Top finishers will receive plaques, merchandise, and shoes from Fleet Feet Delray Beach, while all participants get custom medals. The significant draw, however, is the community's support for local veterans, with friends, families, businesses, and service-oriented runners participating to aid injured veterans during difficult times.
NMBPD Domestic Violence Awareness 5K RUN/WALK
SAM OCT 10
Plantation Goes Pink
DIM OCT 11
13th Annual Every Boob Counts 5K Run/Walk
DIM OCT 11
Every Boob Counts is an annual 5K run/walk at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, offering both in-person and virtual participation. The in-person race begins at 7 a.m. EDT on a certified 5K course, providing a measured route for participants. Participants run or walk in honor or memory of someone affected by breast cancer, with proceeds supporting Sharsheret and local community outreach programs. The event aims to raise breast cancer awareness, promote early detection, and connect community members with support and resources. Family festivities are part of race day, and the first 800 registrants are guaranteed a shirt and finisher medal, with shirt sizes distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lighthouse Lookout 5k & 10k
DIM OCT 11
Haunted 5K & 10K at Hollywood, FL
SAM OCT 17
The Haunted 5K & 10K in Hollywood, Florida, begins at 9:00 AM in a park near Cricket Field 2, adjacent to the parking lot opposite the baseball fields. This event, part of the US Road Running series, offers 5K, 10K, and half marathon distances (3.1, 6.2, or 13.1 miles). Packet pickup is available 30 minutes before the start and concludes 10 minutes prior; all participants must register in advance on RunSignup, as no race-day registration is permitted. The 5K and 10K courses follow a short out-and-back route. The 5K is completed twice, and the 10K is completed four times. The park opens at 8:00 AM, parking is $3 per vehicle, and the race has a 2-hour time limit. A best costume award highlights the Halloween theme. Standard series amenities include finisher medals, awards, a merchandise shop, and points towards the US Road Running standings.
The Schott Communities 5K Run, Walk, and Roll
SAM OCT 17
The Schott Communities 5K Run, Walk, and Roll is a community race in Southwest Ranches. Participants can choose between a timed 5K run or a 1-mile Walk & Roll. The event is designed for runners, walkers, families, schools, volunteers, and supporters, ensuring accessibility for all types of participants. The event raises awareness and funds for Schott Communities programs and services for persons with disabilities. Approximately 900 people participated last time. The day includes awards and prizes for participants, with sponsors supporting the cause behind the race.
Hollywood Beach Half Marathon & 5k
SAM OCT 17
The Hollywood Beach Half Marathon & 5K begins at Hollywood North Beach Park in Hollywood, Florida. Runners depart at sunrise near the Atlantic Ocean. The event features two road races: a half marathon covering approximately 13.11 miles and a 5K covering approximately 3.11 miles. This race takes place twice a year, in the winter and fall, typically in January and October or November, providing South Florida runners multiple opportunities to compete on the beach course. The route follows the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, remaining close to the sand. Participants will experience ocean views, the sound of waves, and a sunrise over the water during the run. The event is included in the Elite Events South Florida Half Marathon Tour and attracts participants from across the United States, many of whom extend their visit into a weekend stay at local hotels. Its appeal lies in its straightforward format: a flat, beachside road race starting in a public park, utilizing the Broadwalk, and offering both 5K and half marathon distances on the same morning.
