Trail du Caroux is a mid-July trail-running event held in La Trivalle, Mons, within the Hérault department of Occitanie, southern France. It features three races: 10 km, 18 km, and 30 km. The shortest race is steep, with approximately 500 to 560 metres of elevation gain. The 18 km route ascends about 1,200 to 1,350 metres, and the 30 km route climbs 2,200 metres. Starts are staggered throughout the morning, beginning with the longest race, followed by the 18 km, and then the 10 km.
The courses are set in the Massif du Caroux, crossing forest and mountain terrain. This is a true trail event, with significant climbing even on the shorter distances. Participants must be aged 20 or over, competing in Espoir, Senior, and Master categories. Each distance has a distinct bib colour: orange for 30 km, blue for 18 km, and green for 10 km. Registration includes a race shirt for all distances. The two longer races include a post-race meal, with an option for 10 km runners to purchase it separately.
