L'Embarcadero è un ottimo punto di partenza piatto se colleghi Fisherman’s Wharf, Marina Green e il Golden Gate Bridge. Sono 5-7 miglia e ti dà l'impressione di uscire dalla città senza davvero lasciarla. Crissy Field ha un anello asfaltato di 5 miglia, ottimo per gli intervalli. Il Crosstown Trail si estende per 17 miglia quando le base miles hanno bisogno di un po' di pepe. San Francisco Running Company porta la gente sui sentieri delle Marin Headlands, sul Mt. Tam.
