SoVD-Inklusionslauf
The SoVD-Inklusionslauf is a Berlin road race held on Tempelhofer Feld, the former airport grounds providing a wide, open setting. It begins at 10:00 a.m. and is designed as "The Run for All." Participants can select from 10 km, 5 km, 2.5 km, or 1 km distances, with a Bambini run for younger children and a 4 x 400 m relay for teams.
The race promotes inclusion directly and practically, guided by the principle that nobody runs alone. Its anniversary edition attracted a record number of participants, covering both children and older runners. The event also features a festival atmosphere around the course, including a stage program, an opening performance by the ufa-Fabrik drum group, and a tombola with prizes.
Parforceheide Crosslauf
The Parforceheide Crosslauf begins at the RSV Eintracht sports field on Heinrich-Zille-Strasse in Stahnsdorf, south of Berlin. RSV Eintracht has organized this cross-country run since 2008 for local recreational runners, offering distances for children, beginners, and more experienced runners, rather than a single main race. It is also part of the Mittelmark Cup circuit, which has had various series sponsors over the years.
The route departs the sports field, goes by the Suedwestfriedhof, and enters the Parforceheide landscape protection area. Runners will encounter forest paths, modest inclines, sandy sections, asphalt, and cobblestones, requiring adjustments in rhythm rather than flat-road speed. Previous editions have included 1 km, 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km races, with the 5 km and the main race starting concurrently in at least one instance. The event attracts club runners, local families, and casual participants; one race report noted a runner’s girlfriend and dog enjoying the 5 km.
Thyrower Waldlauf
The Thyrower Waldlauf is a hilly running event held at the community center on Thyrower Bahnhofstrasse in Thyrow, Brandenburg, Germany. It typically takes place in autumn and is part of the EMB-Energie-Cup Teltow-Flaeming, attracting both local cup competitors seeking points and individuals interested in a brief forest race. The primary race distances are 4.5 km, 9 km, and 13.5 km, complemented by a 0.5 km Bambini run and a 5 km Walking/Nordic Walking option.
The course features a single-lap hilly circuit, with distance selections corresponding to age and cup categories. Younger participants compete in the 4.5 km race, while older students, youth, women, and men over 60 use the 9 km race. Men aged M20 to M55 contest the 13.5 km race for cup scoring. SV Rot-Weiss Thyrow e.V. organizes the event, with registration managed via the organizer's website. Results, start lists, rankings, photos, and reports are published post-event. Race reports indicate growing participant numbers, with autumn weather encouraging late entries, and the event sometimes providing a final opportunity to improve cup standings or qualify for the EMB Energie-Cup Teltow-Flaeming.
Müggelsee-Halbmarathon
The Müggelsee-Halbmarathon circles the Müggelsee, Berlin's largest lake, located in the southeast and known locally as the “bathtub.” The primary event is an officially measured half marathon, 21.0975 kilometers long, commencing at 10:00 and concluding at 13:00. On the same morning, shorter 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer races are offered for those preferring a shorter lakeside event.
The route begins and ends near the Müggelseeperle, with some accounts indicating the Hotel Müggelsee Berlin on Müggelheimer Damm as the race headquarters. The course traces the shoreline for a significant portion, crosses the historic Spreetunnel Friedrichshagen, and proceeds through Friedrichshagen, Rahnsdorf, Wilhelmshagen, Hessenwinkel, Schönhorst, and Spreewiesen before encircling the Kleiner Müggelsee. The half marathon includes four aid stations, and the event is set for its twentieth running.
Eichwalder Herbstlauf
The Eichwalder Herbstlauf takes runners into the Grünauer Forst as the weather cools. This forest race is for those seeking a timed run, with age-group results allowing competitors to be compared within their own category.
The course follows quiet paths through the woods, offering a more sheltered and natural setting than a road race through town. Participants not wishing to compete can opt for the 5 km Nordic Walking option, which is conducted without time pressure.
Crosslauf des RC Tegel - Schmalzstullenlauf
The Crosslauf des RC Tegel begins and ends on Schwarzen Weg, near Tegeler See at the Malche, leading runners into Tegeler Forst in Berlin. This autumn cross-country event offers multiple distances, ranging from short races for children and students to 20 km, alongside standard 5 km and 10 km routes. RC Tegel welcomes both club members and non-members, allowing it to function as both a local club competition and a notable fixture on Berlin's running calendar. Typically, participant numbers range from the several hundreds, often between 500 and 1,000 finishers.
The course is a forest cross-country run, not a flat road race, featuring uneven terrain and inclines that challenge stamina, pacing, and running form. The shorter distances cater to younger participants and novices, while the longer routes provide seasoned runners with a genuine off-road challenge. Its informal name, Schmalzstullenlauf, originates from the post-race refreshments: tea, cake, and Schmalzstullen, the German lard bread rolls that are integral to the event's character. This post-race spread contributes to the race's distinctly local atmosphere, emphasizing club tradition over a highly polished mass participation event.

Nikolauslauf Michendorf
Nikolauslauf Michendorf is a pre-Christmas running event in Michendorf, Brandenburg, held annually on the Sunday after Saint Nicholas Day. Participants must wear a Santa outfit: at minimum, a red coat and red hat, with the coat long enough to reach within a hand's breadth above the knee. The organizing Laufclub Michendorf describes it as Germany's largest costumed Santa run, usually drawing around 1,000 participants rather than just a small local field.
The races take place in the heart of Michendorf, offering a 1 km Zipfelmützenlauf for young children, plus 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km, and a 4 x 2.5 km relay. The children's race starts first in the late morning, followed by a mass start for the other distances. The relay features teams passing a Santa sack instead of a normal baton. The event originated from an idea shared by a few enthusiastic runners at a club meeting, and it now is part of the Meilenweit Laufcup, maintaining a family and club atmosphere built around hundreds of runners dressed as Santa.
Eichwalder Silvesterlauf
The Eichwalder Silvesterlauf is a New Year's Eve road and fun run held at the Sportplatz am Hirtenfließ in Eichwalde, near Berlin. It began on New Year's Eve 1994 and now provides straightforward end-of-year racing, not a large-scale city event. Adults can select a 5 km or 10 km distance, and toddlers, children, and youth participate in their own shorter races, including a Bambini lap on the sports field.
The primary route leads to a forest course away from traffic: the 5 km race consists of one lap, and the 10 km race is two laps. Both runners and walkers are accommodated. Recent fields have numbered in the low hundreds, creating a local and manageable atmosphere. Registration occurs at the venue in the morning, the adult entry fee is modest, and the finish-area traditions are typical of German winter running: awards for top finishers, pancakes for participants, and offerings of tea, water, fruit, mulled wine, and bratwurst.
Silvesterlauf Brandenburg-Wilhelmsdorf
Silvesterlauf Brandenburg-Wilhelmsdorf is an end-of-year running event held at Buhnenhaus 1 in Brandenburg an der Havel, organized by VfL Brandenburg. Participants can select from 500 m, 2.5 km, 5 km, or 10 km distances, with a 5 km walking option also available. The 500 m Bambini run is designated for the youngest children, the 2.5 km race is open to all, and the longer distances have age restrictions for older children and adults.
All courses are out-and-back, presenting a straightforward format. The event frequently features winter conditions, such as snow and ice, aligning with its role as a final run of the year for local participants. Children in the Bambini run receive medals, the top three overall finishers in the 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km races are recognized, and pancakes are served as part of the tradition.
