At Żarnowiec in Gmina Dopiewo, the Cross Duathlon starts and finishes by a shelter. Polish editions of the format are short off-road swim-and-run events, typically run as one-day local races rather than large city productions.
The Rybnik event, organized by MOSiR at the Kamień recreation area, places the swim on a marked and secured water course, then sends runners onto nearby paths and trails. Distances are scaled by age group: juniors swim about 100 meters and run 700 meters, youth racers run 1400 meters after the same swim, and the Open race pairs a 250-meter swim with a 4200-meter run. Fields can be small, with Rybnik capped at 100 participants, and the wider Polish calendar also includes kids’ races and a national championship edition.
