Gravel Challenge - Gruppetto Cycle Club x Sosi

Évora Monte Trail Run

エヴォラ練習記

ランニング： エヴォラのランナーは、しっかりbase milesを稼ぎたい時、旧市街の端っこ、Ecopista、それからAlto de São Bento方面の道を使うよ。Ecopistaは79 kmあって、150 m登る感じ。22 kmのコースもあるんだ。Sobe e Desce Team EstremozとかFarmácia dos Álamosが地元のレースシーンを盛り上げてるね。Semi-Marathon d'Évora、Meia de Évora、Grande Prémio de São João、Évora Monte Trail Runあたりが、毎年恒例のメインレースだね。

サイクリング： エヴォラのサイクリストは、静かなZ2をやりたい時や、ちょっとダートも走りたい時は、だいたい西に向かうんだ。Ecopistaは古いÉvora-Mora鉄道の線路跡を整備したもので、街の近くは舗装路だけど、街を出るとダートになるよ。Monfurado Nature Trailsは、エヴォラから西に88 km、コルクガシやホルムオークの森の中をAnta Grande do Zambujeiroを通り過ぎて行く、gravel bikeやMTBにぴったりのコースなんだ。Gruppetto Cycle Clubが主催するGravel Challenge - Gruppetto Cycle Club x Sosiが、ここのメインイベントだね。水道橋沿いの道は3 kmくらいで、ちょっと登りにくい階段もあるけど、街の眺めは最高だよ。

シーズン： 春がランニングもサイクリングも一番いい時期だね。アレンテージョ地方の最高気温は22–27°Cくらいで、インターバルもロングランもgran fondoの準備も、無理なくこなせるんだ。夏も走れるけど、エヴォラはポルトガルでも有数の暑い街だし、アレンテージョの気温は35°Cを超えることも多いから、地元の人たちは朝早くか夕方に動くよ。街は標高165 mにあるから、石畳が熱くなる前の朝は、空気が澄んでて走りやすい感じがするね。冬はリズムが変わるけど、全く走れなくなるわけじゃないよ。エヴォラの冬は穏やかで湿気があって、霜はよく降りるけど、そんなにひどくないし、雪が降るのは10年に2回くらいかな。
