CWTAR Glow RUn & Wicked Walk

The CWTAR Glow Run & Wicked Walk is an evening run/walk in Jackson, Tennessee, starting and finishing at 1050 Union University Drive. 地元の人たちは、舗装された往復コースとか、森の中のトレイル、あとは街中の周回コースでbase milesを稼いでるよ。Fleet Feet Jackson, TNは毎週日曜の朝6時に398 Oil Well RdにあるWest Jackson Baptist Churchから集合。雨でも晴れでもやるし、どんなペースの人でもウェルカムだよ。グループは4、5、6、8 miles走る感じ。4 milesのルートだと6.97 kmで143 mの獲得標高。8 milesのルートだと12.08 kmで85 mの獲得標高って感じ。レースカレンダーは、St Patrick's Day 5K、Wayne Provision-Hope on the Move 5K、The Jackal Trail Marathonみたいな5Kレースで足を慣らしてる。

こっちのサイクリストは、近所のゆるポタから、ロングライド、gravel、あとは短いsingletrackまで色々乗ってるよ。Jackson Spokesが地元のバイクシーンを支えてくれてるし、Tennessee Interscholastic Cycling Leagueのおかげで、秋にはPugh Bourne ParkのRockabilly Ridgeでマウンテンバイクレースが開催されるようになった。エリアには4 kmで3,962 mの登りがある。あと5 kmで582 mの登りもあるから、ヒルクライムはほとんど長いロードの引きかな。ブルーのsingletrackは0 metersで12 mの登り。トレイルは短すぎて、正直あんまり行く価値ないかな。

5月から7月は地元のトレイルのメインシーズンだね。Fleet Feet Jackson, TNが毎週木曜の夜6時半にUnion University Trailsのトレイルヘッドで夏のtrail run groupをやってるから。夏は暑くて湿度も高いから、みんなintervalsはしっかりやるし、早朝スタートが基本。長いZ2のランやライドは、涼しくなる時間帯に回してるよ。冬はそこまで厳しくなくて、むしろ涼しいくらい。だからランナーはlong runsを伸ばせるし、サイクリストはbase milesを稼げる。singletrackは寒さよりも路面状況次第って感じ。
