About this race
Millard Street serves as the central point: the senior and female races begin at the Blue Lake BMX Club, with juniors starting separately at Moorak School on Yells Road. The 100 Mile Classic & MGCC Junior Tour Stages 1 & 2 presents as a traditional club road race, focusing on extended country-road circuits instead of elaborate features.
The senior route traverses White Avenue, Benara Road, and Carpenter Rocks Road, then turns onto Neechy Flat Road, Aslins Road into Kongorong, Perkins Road, Nene Valley Road, Shepherds Lane, and Mount Salt Road. Following Riddoch Highway, Grant Avenue, and completing repeated laps via Dixons Road and School Road, the challenge lies in maintaining focus through known turns before the final stretch onto Bay Road, finishing close to the police station. The distinctive aspect is practical and typical for a bike race: distinct start locations, recurring laps, and a route map filled with left turns that riders will need to be aware of before the peloton becomes agitated.
