Road Race Elbląg

Road Race Elbląg combines road cyclists and inline skaters in Elbląg, Poland. The cycling race covers 45 km, while the skating event is a half marathon. It takes place on a single July day, with activities scheduled from early morning until mid-afternoon. The event headquarters are located at Plac Katedralny and ul. Warszawska 29, which also hosts the start and finish lines. The cycling route remains within the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, featuring 151 meters of elevation gain and an equal amount of descent. While not a mountainous course, it includes moderate ascents and descents. MTB Pomerania Maraton endorses this route. The event is designed for road cyclists and roller skaters, not runners. Registration fees are structured based on deadlines, and the race office operates the day before at Ratusz Staromiejski before relocating to Plac Katedralny on the event day.

garmin gravel race trip

The Garmin Gravel Race Trip is a gravel cycling race held in Tolkmicko, starting and finishing at Kadyny Folwark Hotel & Spa. Taking place in August, it is part of the Garmin Gravel Race series, with this Tolkmicko event marking the fifth edition of the series. Participants can select from two route options: the Expedition routes, covering approximately 70-75 km, or the Adventure routes, covering about 27-35 km. Additionally, separate Trip categories are available for those riding bicycles other than gravel bikes. The race structure aims to be inclusive while still offering a substantial challenge. The Expedition route provides a demanding gravel experience for stronger cyclists, whereas the Adventure route serves as a more accessible entry point. The Trip categories are a distinctive feature, permitting mountain bikes and other non-gravel bicycles without requiring them to compete in a separate, unofficial start. Online registration is available, with race numbers issued upon payment. The minimum age for the Adventure Trip category is 16.

TRUSO ELBLĄG MTB RACE

The Truso Elbląg MTB Race is a mountain bike event held in June at Elbląski Bikepark Truso, located at ul. Królewiecka 162 in Elbląg. The course utilizes the city's bike park and the Bażantarnia forest area, offering categories for children, families, amateur riders, juniors, and a PRO category. MKS Truso Elbląg and the City of Elbląg are the organizing bodies, welcoming local cyclists, visiting participants, and children from the youngest age groups. The schedule begins with short 1 km children’s races, followed by FUN/FAMILY and JUNIOR/AMATOR categories before the PRO race. The bike park is presented as a facility for developing MTB technique, and the race also directs participants to the trails within Bażantarnia. The Skillpark is situated near the animal shelter and allotment gardens, indicating a local recreational setting rather than a remote competition site. Participants receive handlebar numbers with timing chips, and those under 18 require written consent from a guardian.

About cycling & running in Elbląg

Elbląg Training Notes

Running: Bażantarnia gives local runners the obvious place for steady laps, hillier efforts, and dirty-shoe work when the city centre feels too tight. Locals use the race calendar as the real club noticeboard, with Start Elbląg, Olimpia Elbląg, Kontra Elbląg, Tygrys Elbląg, and UKS Truso Elbląg all sitting in the serious-sport background. XVII Elbląski Bieg Piekarczyka puts the main race over 10 km on June 14, with a 5 km side race. Road Race Elbląg 2026 stretches the long day up to 84 km, while Mini Bieg Piekarczyka keeps the shorter end up to 10 km.

Cycling: Elbląg riders get their base miles by leaving town fast toward Morąg, Stegna, Gdańsk, Cedry Wielkie, Malbork, Pasłęk, and the Żuławy flats around Jezioro Drużno and Zalew Wiślany. UKS Truso Elbląg gives the local scene a proper club name, and TRUSO Elbląg MTB RACE and Garmin Gravel Race Trip give the calendar its anchor event feel. The route runs 1 km and rises 465 m, so that's the honest Z2-with-bites ride. The Jesienne Kadyny routes run 9 km and add more punch for intervals, cyclocross legs, or singletrack-adjacent days.

Season: July and August bring the best cycling months, and locals ride more because the Baltic keeps summer from feeling too cooked. The route covers 8 km with only 18 m of ascent for easy spinning. Runners get a tidy late-season block from Bażantarnia Jump&Run on September 6, IV Bieg Nocny pod Gwiazdami on September 19, and XII Bieg Niepodległości on November 11. Winter keeps the same cool, damp northern rhythm, so locals swap speed for consistency, Z2, and routes that stay simple.
