Clermont en Rose
火 10月 6
At Clermont en Rose, participants must wear pink, signaling the event's purpose before the race begins. This 5 km road race takes place in Clermont-Ferrand, France, during early October, coinciding with breast cancer awareness season. It functions as a charity event, prioritizing solidarity and community running over competition. The inclusion of children's and junior races makes it suitable for families and casual participants alongside seasoned runners. The 5 km course commences and concludes at Place de Jaude, winding through central Clermont-Ferrand. Runners will traverse the gardens of Jardin Lecoq, pass through Place de la Victoire, Place Delille with its fountain, Place Gilbert-Gaillard, and Square Amadeo before heading back to the starting point. All proceeds benefit local associations supporting individuals affected by breast cancer. The event's official village offers workshops, activities, and sports sessions, with over 300 participants attending the previous edition.

Grand trail de Clermont-Ferrand - Cournon-d'Auvergne
金 10月 9
The Grand Trail de Clermont-Ferrand - Cournon-d'Auvergne is a series of trail races held in Cournon-d'Auvergne, located in Puy-de-Dome near Clermont-Ferrand. The event features adult trail races ranging from 12 km to 34 km, alongside multiple children's distances, ensuring a full day of running rather than a single featured race. The adult race options are Trail by night le mardoux (12 km with 470 m elevation gain), Trail le gergo (22 km with 900 m elevation gain), and Trail la directissime (34 km with 770 m elevation gain). Additionally, there is the Trail handi gergo, a 13.4 km course with 400 m of ascent. For younger participants, there are shorter trail distances available: 800 m, 1.4 km, 2.5 km, 3.5 km, and 4.6 km.
Les dix des ducs - Montluçon
日 10月 11
Les Dix des Ducs is a road race series in Montluçon, centered on a 10 km event. It begins at 11:10 from Quai Rouget de Lisle on rue Fargin Fayolle and concludes at place Piquand, beneath the Château des Ducs de Bourbon. This main race follows a two-loop course, recognized with an FFA Bronze label, and qualifies participants for the French 10 km Championship. Competitors must be born in 2010 or earlier and present an FFA license or a medical certificate for competitive running. The course crosses the flatter sections of Montluçon, incorporating the suburbs, the Cher riverbanks, and the area near the ducal castle, avoiding a hilly, scenic route. Pace setters are available for 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60-minute finishes, catering to runners aiming for specific times and local club members. The 10 km race has a 1 hour 30 minute time limit, with the first loop requiring completion within 50 minutes. Montluçon Athlétisme also organizes shorter races of 5 km, 2.5 km, and 1000 m for younger participants, and entry numbers are capped by the organizer to ensure manageable race-day conditions.
Clermont en rose - Clermont-Ferrand
月 10月 12
Clermont en Rose is a family walk and run in Clermont-Ferrand, held in October to raise money for local breast cancer charities. The event is run by a charitable non-profit, and registration fees and donations go to local associations linked to breast cancer. It is large for a community charity event: participation is capped at 10,000, and the organizer reports more than 62,000 participants and more than EUR848,000 donated since 2018. The race side includes timed results for solo women and duo entries, but the day is clearly built for more than fast runners. Companies, schools, large teams, walkers, families, and charity supporters all appear in the event results and challenges, including an enterprise trophy, a school trophy, and awards for big teams. The weekend also has its own rituals: participants get an exclusive shirt designed by Marie Buisson, a charity tombola raises extra money, and the organizers publish photo galleries and a recap video after the event.
Mareges Trail Shem
火 10月 13
The Mareges Trail takes runners onto the paths surrounding Liginiac, a small commune in Corrèze, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. This trail event occurs in mid-October and offers short and middle-distance options, typically 5 km, 11 km, and 20 km, though some listings also indicate longer routes up to 35 km. The race focuses on off-road running within the natural landscape of Corrèze, featuring wild paths and open countryside instead of an urban course. Walking routes are also available, listed at 6 km, 12 km, and 20 km. The 20 km trail is the most frequently chosen running distance. The event incorporates the phrase “On va bien se Marèges,” linking the race name to the local area and the enjoyment of a day on the trails.

Rallye trail la bardoise
日 10月 18
La Bardoise is a rallye-trail in Bard, a village in the Loire, organized by MJC Loisirs au Village. Its primary format is a 23 km nature run with timed trail sections and untimed liaison sections covered at a free pace, making it resemble a small adventure event more than a standard trail race. The routes traverse Bard’s hills and natural paths, offering options from very short courses to a 23.05 km route with 767 m of elevation gain. Participants start and stop each timed section using an electronic finger system, similar to that used in multisport raids and orienteering. The event welcomes novices, experienced runners, competitors, amateurs, families, and nature-running enthusiasts. The morning concludes with a local meal. The race, initially a first edition organized by the village MJC, has since reached at least its tenth edition.
Course d'Obstacles la Démente
日 10月 18
La Démente is a Halloween-themed obstacle race held in Super Besse, located in the Sancy massif of central France. Participants can compete individually or in teams, selecting from 3 km, 5 km, or 9 km distances. They will race against the clock, navigating a series of intentionally absurd obstacles. Costumes are integral to the event, lending it the atmosphere of a muddy mountain challenge with a Halloween party spirit, rather than a typical trail race. The course utilizes the terrain of the Super Besse resort, with obstacles that organizers state become progressively more challenging. Approximately 800 participants are anticipated for this edition, following the 500 runners who participated in the inaugural event, which was established to mark the Sancy Massif resort’s 60th anniversary. The race is well-suited for groups of friends, novice participants seeking a lighthearted challenge, and runners desiring a timed competition without the intensity of a traditional road or trail race.
Rand'aubade trail - Cournon-d'Auvergne
水 10月 21
The Rand'aubade Trail is a 14 km urban trail race in Cournon-d'Auvergne, organized by Athletisme Club Cournon d'Auvergne. It is not a road race on flat city streets: the route includes about 250 meters of climbing and sends runners up Le Cornonet and toward the top of the old village. The course uses Cournon's streets along with many greenways, allowing runners to move between built-up sections and quieter paths. Aid stations and changing rooms are provided on-site, musical moments are part of the event, and the race has returned across multiple editions.
Marathon des Puys
木 10月 22
Marathon des Puys is a city road race held in Clermont-Ferrand, within the Puy-de-Dôme department of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The primary event is a 42.195 km marathon, with options for 10 km or 5 km races. Duo and relay formats are also available for the marathon distance. The race utilizes its location in a volcanic region, with finishers calling it simply “a volcanic marathon.” It is part of a French race series focused on helping runners explore local areas and heritage. The appeal lies not just in the distance but in Clermont-Ferrand's setting within the Puys landscape.
La Courstache Aubière
日 10月 25
At La Courstache in Aubière, near Clermont-Ferrand, the moustache is part of the point: runners can arrive with their own or get one painted at the makeup areas before starting. The event raises money for the fight against male cancers, with 100% of registration fees going to the La Courstache Endowment Fund. It offers FFA-certified timed 5 km and 10 km road races, plus a 5 km walk or free-pace solidarity option for those who want the cause without a race clock. The races use public roads, including sections temporarily closed to traffic, and the event is run with ASPTT Clermont and a large volunteer security team. Recent editions have drawn more than 6,500 participants overall, while the 10 km alone has listed over 2,100 finishers. Families, walkers, club runners, first-timers, and people with reduced mobility all have a place through the 5 km solidarity format. The welcome village adds men’s health and cancer-prevention stands, and the fund has paid for concrete local projects such as virtual reality headsets and resin 3D printers for Centre Jean Perrin, adaptive physical activity equipment, and socio-esthetic support care at Clermont-Ferrand hospital.
