Linköping's running scene is flat and fast around the lakes—Coop Linköping Runt is the main local 10km race, mostly on paved park paths. Cycling dominates: Roxen Runt (94km) loops the nearby lakes with gentle terrain, while serious cyclists use the surrounding waterways and forests as training for the 150km Team Mustasch Halvvättern, which tackles longer climbs into Östergötland's more rolling countryside. XC-race Linköping offers technical single-track for off-road cyclists.
