Moers sits on the flat Rhine lowlands of western Germany, where gravel and road cycling dominate the local scene — the region's rolling routes feed into classics like the Dinslakener Nispa RTF (151km) and Gravel Day in Essen (90km). Running is mostly pancake-flat through the Niederrhein, with occasional loop courses along the Rhine embankment and into neighbouring towns; the landscape demands speed over hills.
