Rýchlik Zoška Bratislava

Rýchlik Zoška Bratislava challenges runners with a 50 km forest trail course around Dubová, located in Slovakia’s Pezinok District, part of the Bratislava region. The race is scheduled for early September and is a UTMB Index trail race, distinct from road races. The 50 km route features 1,480 meters of elevation gain, presenting a demanding trail run with significant climbing, not a simple flat course. The 50 km distance is highlighted as the primary and most attended event, with the race organizers noting its emotional depth.

Trnavský RunWalk

Trnavský RunWalk begins at Kamenný Mlyn in Trnava, offering runners and walkers multiple short-distance options on the same morning. The primary running events are the 10 km PROFI race and the 5 km HOBBY race, with Nordic Walking also covering 5 km. Additionally, there is a free 1 km HENDI track and a free 1 km children’s run for those up to 15 years old. The structure accommodates a mixed field, not solely fast runners. PROFI, HOBBY, and Nordic Walking include men’s and women’s age categories, and HENDI participants have their own. Children and HENDI participants start first, followed by Nordic walkers, and then the 5 km and 10 km runners. The capacity is capped at 300 participants. All finishers receive a medal and post-race refreshments. Proceeds benefit charitable causes via organizers Za ruku o.z. and Trnafskí Walkeri.

About cycling & running in Trnava

Trnava Training Notes

Running: Locals keep running simple in Trnava. LOVE THEM running club meets on Tuesdays at 18:00 at Bezkydov cafe on Hlavná Street, and the place has become its base. The group usually runs about 5 km, so it works for easy Z2, short intervals, or a comeback week. BERNOHY running community meets every Wednesday at 18:00 at the AŠK Slávia Athletic Stadium. SHEruns trains women every Thursday at 18:00 at ZŠ Spartakovská. Ružový park, Janko Kráľ Park, Bernolákov sad, and Štrky give you softer local options. Trnavský RunWalk and Saleziánsky beh Kopánkou sit as the easy anchor races.

Cycling: Locals ride from a very flat city, so base miles come naturally. The city had 22 km of cycling routes in use in 2022, and that already makes daily spins easy. The Danubian Lowland gives you steady roads and gravel when you want rhythm instead of drama. JustGo has 8 gravel loops around Trnava, and each loop starts and finishes at the same point. RC Spartak Trnava is the club name locals know. KL 2026, Kritérium gives the scene its crit marker. The Little Carpathians rise to the west, and Považský Inovec sits to the north when you want climbs.

Season: Warm months are the best bet for both running and riding. The LOVE THEM bunch gets bigger in better conditions, and in warm months even 50 people can show up for a run. Summer in Trnava means warm days, steady loops, and good space for Z2 before harder intervals. Cyclists use the flat city and Danubian Lowland for base miles, then point west to the Little Carpathians when the legs need climbing. Winter changes the mood with cold conditions, so runners keep it shorter and steadier. Riders still get work done, but the season leans more controlled than gran fondo mode.
