Huesca is a hill-town runner's gateway to the Pyrenees foothills, sitting at 488m elevation with steep cobbled climbs through the old quarter and rolling terrain toward the mountains 30km north. Cyclists dominate here — the HU-108 BTT offers 65km and 108km routes through the Serranía de Ronda's technical singletrack and forest fire roads, while the Ruta de los Castillos traces a 32km loop past medieval fortifications across the Hoya de Huesca plateau. The landscape shifts fast from flat agricultural valleys to jagged limestone ridges, making both disciplines possible in a morning's ride.
