Races that repeat — weekly, monthly or yearly

9/11 Heroes Run - Doylestown PA
SAT OCT 3
The 9/11 Heroes Run in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, held in October, starts at War Memorial Stadium at Central Bucks West High School on West Court Street. It includes a 5K run and a 1 Mile Fun Run, suitable for competitive runners, families, and walkers. The Doylestown event is part of the 9/11 Heroes Run series, which focuses on remembering those lost on September 11 and honoring military members, first responders, and community volunteers. Participants gather in Doylestown, begin from the high school stadium area, and run a race where the cause is as significant as the time recorded.
OFS 5K Run & Ride
SAT OCT 3
Run-a-Muck with Willistown Conservation Trust
SAT OCT 3
Run-a-Muck is an afternoon 5K run and cross-country trail walk benefiting the Willistown Conservation Trust. Runners depart first, followed shortly by walkers, known as Muckers. The event takes place within the Willistown countryside, offering a 5K race, a Mucker walk over varied terrain, or a family outing. Ticket categories are available for adults, juniors, youth, and young children. The trail includes more than just roads; participants should prepare for changing ground conditions. Leashed dogs are welcome. Following the race, the field transforms into a gathering with food, beer, wine, live music, lawn games, a bonfire, a mechanical bull, face painting, T-shirts, and awards for top finishers. Funds raised support the preservation of the local countryside. Race-day registration is credit-card only and conducted by phone, making pre-registration the simpler option.
Sister2Sister Breast Cancer Run/Walk 4Life
SAT OCT 3
Hulmeville Hustle 5K
SAT OCT 3
The Hulmeville Hustle 5K begins at OCI Bar and Grill in Hulmeville, Pennsylvania. It features a chip-timed 5K and a 1 Mile Walk on the same October morning. The Hulmeville Borough Parks and Recreation Committee organizes the event with the Hulmeville 150th Committee, integrating local history with the running event. The 5K route crosses the borough's center, while the 1 Mile Walk offers a relaxed pace suitable for all ages. Participants include runners, walkers, families with strollers, and leashed dogs. The Hustle History Tour incorporates historic markers along the route, leading to a History Board at the finish. The day also features a Patriotic Dress-Up Competition, coinciding with America's 250th Anniversary.
Roll Over MS New Jersey
SAT OCT 3
Roll Over MS New Jersey is a 3K at Duke Island Park, organized by the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation Inc. Participants can cover the distance however it works for them: walking, rolling, skating, scooting, or biking. The event is family-friendly, and children under 12 can join for free. The day is built around raising awareness and support for people living with multiple sclerosis, with team and fundraising elements alongside the route. Participants can join the Top Fundraisers Challenge, the Most Team Members Challenge, or the Athletic Wear With The Most Flair Challenge, so the event is as much about showing up together as it is about finishing the 3K.
9/11 Heroes Run - Doylestown, Pennsylvania
SUN OCT 4
The 9/11 Heroes Run in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, takes place at 375 W Court Street. It offers a 5K, a 5K ruck, wheeled and pusher divisions, and a 1-mile run/walk. The event is open to runners, walkers, ruckers, active duty military, first responders, families, and volunteers, serving as both a race and a remembrance. The 5K features individual entries, active duty military and first responder entries, a wheeled division, and honor-bib rider and pusher categories. The ruck division, run with GORUCK, requires participants to carry weighted rucksacks, a practice from special forces training. GORUCK entrants get a TMF GORUCK patch. The event remembers those lost and tested on September 11, and those who served in subsequent wars, with local support going to veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and families of the fallen.
Sterbenz Run for the Pickles 5K and 2K Pup Strut & Stroll
SUN OCT 4
The Sterbenz Run for the Pickles is a local running event in Washington, New Jersey, offering a 5K race and a 2K option. The event begins at Warren County Community College. The 2K is designated as the Pup Strut & Stroll, incorporating dogs into the activities. The race structure allows participants to select the 5K run or the 2K Pup Strut & Stroll, suitable for walkers, families, and dog owners. The event is also listed as the Sterbenz Run for the Pickels 5K/2K Pup Strut and Stroll, using that specific spelling.
Bob Hendricks Memorial 5k Run/Walk
SUN OCT 4
The Bob Hendricks Memorial 5k Run/Walk begins and ends at River Road Park in Bedminster, New Jersey. The route follows paved park paths, not city streets. This fall 5K, for runners and walkers, was established as a community event honoring Bob Hendricks and supports fundraising for pancreatic cancer research. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned. It is mostly flat, following paths that link River Road Park to the Bedminster Police station. A pedestrian bridge over the highway presents the only significant elevation change. Participants include club runners, casual walkers, stroller groups, and virtual runners. Awards are given to overall finishers and to men and women in 10-year age groups. In-person participants may receive event T-shirts while supplies last. Past participation indicates a small local race with a few hundred attendees, not a large-scale event.
The 4th Annual Rugby Run 5k
SUN OCT 4
The Rugby Run 5k takes place in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, offering 5 km and 1.6 km distances. The start is at Pickering Valley Elementary School, featuring a local school start area and two course options for those preferring a 5K or a shorter run. This marks the fourth Rugby Run 5k. The shorter distance is suitable for families, younger runners, and individuals not seeking a full 5K, while the 5 km race provides the standard distance for regular runners.
Eden Autism 5K & Fun Run/Walk
SUN OCT 4
The Eden Autism 5K & Fun Run/Walk takes place annually in October at 2 Merwick Road in Princeton, New Jersey. It offers a USATF-certified 5K for runners and a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk for walkers, families, and younger children, both beginning at the same morning hour. Registration fees are reduced for ages 5 to 17 and USATF members; children 4 and under participate for free. Same-day registration is available for those deciding to join on the morning of the event. The event benefits Eden Autism, an organization that assists individuals with autism from diagnosis through adulthood. The first 1,000 participants will receive a long-sleeved shirt, hat, and finisher medal. Awards for the 5K include prizes for the top overall female, male, and non-binary finishers, as well as the top three runners in 10-year age categories ranging from 9 and under to over 80. A race festival precedes, accompanies, and follows the races, featuring face painting, balloon animals, and craft tables.
Scoogië's Oktoberfest 5k, 5 Miler, 2 Mile Jog/Walk & Kids Root Beer Run!
SUN OCT 4
Scoogië's Oktoberfest is a small race-day lineup in Ambler, Pennsylvania, starting from 300 Brookside Ave. The menu offers runners and walkers several choices: a 5K, a 5 Miler, a 2 Mile Jog/Walk, and a short Kids Root Beer Run of about 0.4 km. The Oktoberfest theme is part of the name, and the distances make the event more family-oriented than a single road race. Adults can pick either the 5K or the longer 5-mile option, walkers have their own 2-mile distance, and kids get a separate root beer run instead of being included in the adult races.

About 5K races in Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton

Lehigh Valley Miles

Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton hosts 150 5K races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run the D&L Trail when they want soft Z2 without thinking too hard. The path is soft underfoot, which is a nice change from running on pavement, and the 165-mile crushed stone towpath runs through Easton, Bethlehem, and Allentown. Lehigh Parkway is roughly six miles with hills and peaceful scenery, including the Little Lehigh Creek. Lehigh Valley Road Runners keep the calendar serious with weekly training runs Tuesday through Thursday and on Saturdays. The D&L Trail covers 33 km and gains 280 m. Anchor race days include the 9/11 Heroes Run, Ta-Ta Trot 5k, and LVRR August Summer Series 5K.

Locals ride a good mix here, from towpath base miles to road intervals and singletrack. The D&L Trail gives Easton, Bethlehem, and Allentown a mostly flat crushed-stone spine. Jordan Creek Park gives mountain bikers an 8-mile trail when the plan calls for dirt. Easton Area Cycling Group rides roads, trails, bike paths, gravel roads, and tow paths, with road, cyclocross, gravel, fixed gear, and mountain bikes all in the mix. Spring Into New Beginnings leaves Union Square on Saturdays at 8:30 AM for 30-40 miles. Char's Kick-Ass Milford Ride runs 35 miles on Sundays. Tatamy Trail has a section of steeper grades, and Delaware River routes add rolling hills.

Spring, summer, and fall are the easiest months for steady running and riding. Summer puts the LVRR August Summer Series 5K in Lehigh Parkway, and July brings the Ta-Ta Trot 5k. Lehigh Parkway also works for warm-weather intervals because the gravel path breaks up the monotony of pavement running. Winter changes the kit, the footing, and the pace, but it does not shut the place down. First Strides keeps Lehigh Parkway beginner-friendly in winter. Easton Area Cycling Group rides year-round, and locals know cold weather just means smarter layers and more honest Z2.
