Lillehammer

Lillehammer is a winter sports town built around the 1994 Winter Olympics site, but its summer running and cycling scene centres on rolling forested terrain at 180m elevation north of Oslo. The Styrkprøven Lillehammer–Oslo is a legendary 180km cycling route that starts here and descends toward the capital; locally, GravelBirken 200km puts riders through Lillehammer's gravel roads and forest tracks in classic Norwegian style. The Sørdalskarusellen running races use the compact valley routes, while the H3 Vikingskipet Duathlon lets you combine both sports on the lake-side Hamar plateau just south of town.
