Sutton Coldfield

Sutton Coldfield's running is dominated by the rolling terrain of Sutton Park, a 2,400-acre estate with woodland trails and open grassland that provides natural hill work just north of Birmingham city centre. Cyclists use the area as a launch point for the Midlands' best road circuits — the Birmingham Midland Cycling Club runs regular 25km loops including the Club 15.7 course that tests riders on the region's undulating A-roads. The town sits at around 150m elevation and sits roughly equidistant between Birmingham's flat urban running and the steeper gradients of the Lickey Hills to the south.
