OstseeMan Triathlon Glücksburg is a two-day triathlon weekend in Glücksburg on Germany’s Baltic coast, held in early August and often called the “Hawaii of the North.” The race program includes a long distance, a middle distance, and a Charity Run for Ostseekids, offering options beyond full-distance triathlons.
The event draws enough demand that entries can sell out, with a start-place exchange used to help athletes find openings afterward. Volunteers are a visible part of the race setup, previous results are published, and the organizers also run a tree-planting project in which each seedling stands for a registration; the most recent planting finished with the last trees going into the ground in Süderlügum. The middle distance also serves as the Schleswig-Holstein Triathlon Union’s state championship when assigned to OstseeMan.
