The Młyn Trail Michałowice begins and ends at the Michałowianka stadium on Sportowa Street in Michałowice, located approximately 15 km from Krakow’s Main Market Square. This summer trail-running event offers three race distances: 5 km, 11 km, and 21 km. The shorter courses combine field paths, forest trails, and asphalt sections. The longest route is more oriented towards cross-country and hill running, featuring around 500 meters of elevation gain. With electronic timing, clearly marked routes, children's races, team classifications, and prize money for top finishers, it provides the structure of a dedicated local race day.
The courses traverse the countryside surrounding Michałowice and the Dłubnia river, leading participants through woods, open fields, paved paths, and varied ascents and descents. The name "Młyn Trail" references the historical mills that were once situated along the Dłubnia, connecting the race title to the area's local history. The participants include open-category runners, teams, children, and a distinct classification for residents of the Michałowice municipality. The event is organized by the local cultural and promotional center, the municipality, and G.O.A.T. Team Michałowice, a running club based in the commune.
