30. HTV-Sparda-Rheinuferlauf 2026

The HTV-Sparda-Rheinuferlauf takes place in Duisburg at Sportpark Friesenplatz, offering races of 5 km, 10 km, 7.5 km for walking, and a 21.1 km half marathon. Organized by Homberger Turnverein, the event has a limit of 800 participants. Online registration closes when 700 entries are filled, with the remaining 100 spots reserved for race day. The 5 km race is a Jedermannlauf, intended for all runners seeking a shorter, accessible event, not exclusively for club athletes. The event combines the HTV-Sparda-Rheinuferlauf with the established Internationaler Volkslauf and half marathon, incorporating both local club race origins and a longer Volkslauf tradition. Aid stations are positioned approximately every 4 km, with isotonic drinks available at the half marathon turnaround point. Finishers receive tea and water. The venue also provides cake, beverages, a grill, medical assistance, changing facilities, showers, and restrooms, creating an atmosphere akin to a sports ground gathering alongside the races. The top three finishers in each category earn prizes and certificates, with additional certificates accessible online post-event. Headphones, baby joggers, and dogs are prohibited on the course.
