Foulées Contoises
日 10月 11
Foulées Contoises is a trail race held in Contes, a village of approximately 6,900 residents located in the Alpes-Maritimes department of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. The race takes place in October, with average temperatures typically ranging from 14°C to 18°C. This event is organized by the association Les Foulées Contoises, under the direction of Mr. Lopez and with assistance from Mr. Orlandi. The race is now associated with the Riba Seneca Trail name; Riba Seneca Trail was previously known as Les Foulées Contoises. Contes is spread across its main village and three hamlets: Sclos, La Vernéa, and La Pointe. Its old town retains its historic charm. During the French Revolution, the commune was temporarily renamed Pointe-Libre because the name "Contes" sounded similar to the French word for "count."
Les foulées de la nartuby - Trans-en-Provence
月 10月 12
Les Foulées de la Nartuby is a local running event in Trans-en-Provence, offering two road-race distances: 10 km and 6 km. The 10 km race begins in the morning, with the 6 km race starting shortly after. The event accommodates various participants. Children can compete in a 1.5 km race, and walkers may join a 6 km hike that starts concurrently with the 6 km run.
Grand prix du Cavigal - Nice
日 10月 18
The Grand Prix du Cavigal, also known as the Course du Mont Boron, is a modest autumn running event held on Mont Boron in Nice. It takes place in the natural park overlooking the Bay of Nice and provides three options: a 10 km individual race, a 2x5 km duo relay, and a 3 km children's race for benjamins, minimes, and cadets. The start is located on the Mont-Boron plateau, with a course that combines paved roads and trail segments. Participation is limited to 200 runners, creating a more local and intimate atmosphere rather than a large crowd. The event accommodates children, casual participants, club members, and seasoned athletes. Regular competitors can also earn points in the Nice Metropole challenge and the Alpes-Maritimes out-of-stadium race challenge. The venue includes entertainment and food services, and Century 21 Lafage Transactions has supported the event for many years.
Run'n Sea - Cagnes Sur Mer
土 10月 24
Run'n Sea is a small road running event on the seafront in Cagnes-sur-Mer, on the French Riviera. It offers two race choices, 5 km and 10 km, with an autumn slot in October and a deliberately limited field of 50 runners. The route follows the Mediterranean shoreline, so runners spend the race beside the sea rather than in the hills or city streets. Ass Gazelles des Montagnes organizes the event, and the low entry fees and short distances make it easy for newer runners to join while still giving regular road, marathon, and trail runners a quick coastal race.
Odysséa Cannes
日 10月 25
Odysséa Cannes guides participants along the Mediterranean in Cannes, offering 10 km, 5 km, and children’s races. This event supports breast cancer research and typically emphasizes mass participation over competitive times. A virtual race option is also available for those participating remotely. The course features rolling terrain, making it unsuitable for record attempts, but the focus remains on the cause as much as the race itself. Odysséa was founded by international athlete Frédérique Quentin and physiotherapist Frédérique Jules. The broader French series originated from women running between the École Militaire and the Eiffel Tower, expanding into races and walks in numerous cities. A village area collects donations, with funds directed towards breast cancer research and patient support, including wigs and childcare assistance during chemotherapy.
Course des 3 villages - callas
土 11月 7
Course des 3 Villages is a November running event based at Place des Ruines in Bargemon, with routes linking Bargemon, Claviers, and Callas in the Var. The main option is a 16 km nature run with about 390 meters of climbing, mostly on roads, while shorter choices include a discovery trail of about 10 km and a non-timed 10 km hike on the same route as the trail. The 16 km race uses Claviers and Callas as aid-station points before returning to Bargemon, which gives the event its three-village identity. The discovery trail is rougher underfoot, with most of it on paths and poles allowed, while the hike opens the day to people who want the route without a clock. The race and trail have overall and category prizes, bib pickup is on race day in Bargemon, and runners need a valid license or PPS number to collect a bib.
XIV^ Oliolivarun
日 11月 8
Oliolivarun is a 10 km road race in Imperia, on the Ligurian coast. It is a competitive asphalt race for runners seeking a classic medium-distance test instead of a long-distance event. The race is in its fourteenth edition and is part of Liguria’s road-running tradition. Its 10 km format attracts a mixed field: well-trained runners can race it competitively, while others use the distance to aim for a personal best or complete a manageable road course.
Trail de Roucassiero
日 11月 22
Trail de Roucassiero is a short, difficult trail race in Val de Tignet, a village above Peymeinade in southern France. It provides two distances: 8.5 km with 330 m of elevation gain and 16.5 km with 685 m of elevation gain, offering runners a compact yet demanding day. Over 250 entries sold out rapidly, demonstrating the event's local appeal. The courses traverse forest and garrigue, featuring steep ascents, rocky paths, and some quicker flat sections between the challenging parts. The name “Lou traï de Rousassiero” originates from Nissart and signifies the red rocks near Tignet. The organizers developed the race based on this local landscape and their connection to the region, and previous years have seen the typical mountain race concern regarding rain after significant downpours.
Marathon de Sanremo
土 12月 5
Marathon de Sanremo is a road-running event in Sanremo, on Italy’s Ligurian coast, taking place in early December. The event offers a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, and 2.5K Family Run. This range of distances accommodates competitive racing, casual participation, juniors, adults, and families. The 5K is free and open to all ages, including timing, medical support, refreshments, bag storage, and a finisher medal for those completing the course. The course follows the former railway line along the Ligurian Sea, utilizing the cycle path within the Riviera dei Fiori coastal park. It is predominantly straight and nearly flat, run as an out-and-back. This profile suits runners aiming for a personal best, though coastal winds can be a factor. The railway project that elevated and duplicated the tracks created usable land by the sea, and the race now uses this path through Sanremo, a city known for its gardens, exotic plants, and flower cultivation.
Trail de Noël de La Turbie
日 12月 6
The Trail de Noël de La Turbie is a mountain trail race held in La Turbie, a village in the Alpes-Maritimes above Monaco on the French Riviera. It takes place in early December and provides 10 km, 20 km, and 30 km course lengths, allowing participants to select a shorter trail outing or a more demanding mountain effort. The courses follow the paths surrounding La Turbie, offering views of the nearby hills and toward the Monaco area. The 30 km race is the most challenging, featuring approximately 1,500 meters of elevation gain. The event is designed for trail runners seeking a December race with a local, welcoming atmosphere, and sufficient climbing to distinguish it from a simple holiday run.
XI^ Sanremo Marathon - La Maratona di Sanremo e della Riviera dei Fiori
日 12月 6
The Sanremo Marathon is a road race held in Sanremo, along the Ligurian Sea, in early December. The marathon covers the standard 42.195 km distance. It begins and ends at the Sanremo Athletics Stadium in Pian di Poma. The course is FIDAL-approved, and participants have a six-hour time limit. The race weekend also features a half marathon, a non-competitive 10 km, a 5 km Ospedaletti Run, and a 2.5 km Family Run, catering to both licensed marathoners and those seeking shorter distances. The route starts on the athletics track before transitioning to the Riviera dei Fiori cycle path, following the old railway line by the sea. Runners proceed towards Ospedaletti, then return through Sanremo. The course continues east through Arma di Taggia, Riva Ligure, and Santo Stefano al Mare. A turnaround point is located before the San Lorenzo tunnel, with the return leg heading west back to Sanremo. Organizers describe the course as very fast, straight, and nearly flat, suitable for runners aiming for personal bests. Entry requirements align with Italian federation standards, necessitating a FIDAL card, a World Athletics license, or a RunCard with the appropriate competitive medical certificate.
Trail de La Turbie
火 12月 8
Trail de La Turbie is an annual trail race held in La Turbie, situated above the French Riviera, taking place just before the Christmas holidays. Participants can select from three race distances: 30K, 20K, and 10K, allowing for a choice between a more demanding mountain run or shorter trail circuits. The race routes are set between the sea and the mountains, a distinctive feature that sets it apart from a typical local race. The 20K and 10K courses are also available for sport hiking, accommodating both walkers and runners. This event marks its 11th edition, offering a straightforward end-of-year occasion: a final day of sport before Christmas.

OGC Niceはみんな知ってるクラブ名だし、Prom'classic, La Verticale du Château de Nice, Nice Côte d'Azur by UTMB®, Semi-Marathon International de Niceあたりが年間の主要イベントかな。
