Pescara Half Marathon - Maratonina del Mare
The Pescara Half Marathon, known locally as the Maratonina del Mare, is a 21.0975 km road race held in Pescara on Italy's Adriatic coast. It takes place in May, forming part of the larger Maratona di Pescara event, organized by ASD RUN4FUN. The race follows a certified city course and is listed on the Italian national calendar, welcoming male and female participants in junior, senior, promesse, and master categories. The course begins at Piazza della Rinascita, on via Nicola Fabrizi near Piazza Salotto, heading south towards the seafront. Participants will run along Lungomare Matteotti, cross the Ponte del Mare, and proceed down the southern waterfront roads to a turnaround point in Francavilla al Mare, close to viale Alcione. The route then returns north, crossing the Ponte del Mare again. It continues along Viale della Riviera and Viale Aldo Moro before a second turnaround near the Brigantino and Voglia di Mare beach establishments. Personal touches for participants include the option to engrave medals with their name and race time, and to add their name to the back of the race shirt.
