The Medical University Run in Wrocław is a 10 km road race connected to the city’s medical university community, held in autumn. The course begins at the Medical Simulation Center on Chałubińskiego Street, crosses Szczytnicki Bridge, proceeds towards the Olympic Stadium, and circles Zalesie on a route certified by the Polish Athletics Association. Experienced runners, younger participants, and the “wskersi” — children with disabilities running with guardians — start together. The race commenced in 2015, with one edition canceled because of the pandemic, and is organized by the Biegaj dla Zdrowia Foundation.

Sycowska Pogoń is an annual autumn running event held in Syców, beginning in the city-center park. The primary races offer straightforward, accessible road distances: 5 km and 10 km. The event also caters to younger participants with the Bieg Małych Asów, a race specifically for children. The event begins in the morning with children in colorful T-shirts lining up before the adult races commence. The announcer calls “Ready?” and the crowd responds “YES!!!”, a brief exchange that imbues the event with its local character. Families, friends, neighbors, club runners, casual runners, and running enthusiasts from throughout Poland gather for the same race day.

Bieg Malinowy Mikołaj is a short race held in early December in Opole, taking place at Lake Malina near the Malina bathing area on Olimpijska Street. The distance is 4.74 km, making it more of a quick local run than a long trail event. The route follows paths around the lake instead of a typical city-centre loop. The course consists of two laps around Lake Malina, with natural terrain favoring runners who prefer park and lakeside paths over pavement. The participant limit is 250 people, and runners must be at least 16 years old. The Santa Claus theme provides the event with its Christmas atmosphere.
