Blanes-Pineda de Mar-Lloret de Mar

This trio of coastal towns north of Barcelona trades flat beachfront running for steep forested climbs inland. Runners stick to the seafront promenades and local parkruns along the Costa Brava; cyclists head west into the Montseny foothills where BTT Llagostera La Salamandra and Marxa Cicloturista Terra de l'Aigua showcase the region's 300–500m elevation gain routes through pine and cork oak. The terrain shifts dramatically within 10km—sea level to 600m—making this a pocket of varied terrain squeezed between Mediterranean beaches and Catalan mountains.
