Alzira-Xàtiva

Running in the Alzira-Xàtiva area is mostly flat through agricultural valleys, with the Júcar River defining easy out-and-back routes; the terrain opens up slightly towards Xàtiva's historic hill. Cyclists dominate here—the region sits between Valencia and the Vall d'Albaida foothills, making it a hub for long fondo events like the Bike Desafio Vall d'Albaida (102km) and Gran Fondo Internacional Marcha Ciudad València (190km), while the Marcha BTT Ciutat de Carlet (43km) offers rougher terrain through local wine country. Elevation gain is gradual until you push west into the limestone ridges around Xàtiva itself.
