Grand Prix Pionek w biegach

Grand Prix Pionek w biegach is a four-race running series held in Pionki, structured around the seasons: Spring Run, Summer Run, Autumn Run, and Winter Run. Each race covers 10 km, consisting of two 5 km loops, with the start and finish located next to the Nadleśnictwo Kozienice building on ul. Partyzantów. POSiR Pionki is the organizer, and the Spring Run marks the beginning of the Grand Prix. The course crosses forest terrain. A separate 5 km walk or march option is available for recreational participation, without affecting the official standings. Participants are categorized into women’s and men’s age groups ranging from 16-25 to 56+. To qualify for the final Grand Prix classification, participants must complete at least three races, one of which must be the Winter Run. The recently revived series attracted several dozen participants for the Spring Run, including the mayor of Pionki and the POSiR director. Medals, hot tea, warm refreshments, cups, and sports-equipment vouchers contributed to the local club-event atmosphere.

enea triathlon kozienice sprint

The ENEA Triathlon Kozienice Sprint is a short-course triathlon held in Kozienice, Poland, utilizing Kozienice Lake and local municipal roads. Known also as the ENEA Kozienice Triathlon, it features supersprint and sprint distances, appealing to athletes seeking a quick triathlon rather than an endurance challenge. The race route stays near the lake before transitioning to local roads for the cycling and running segments. Participants travel from all over Poland, and the event includes Aquathlon Kids, offering a swim-run competition for younger athletes. Now in its 14th edition, the race is a fixture on the Polish triathlon calendar and coincides with the 40th anniversary of Polish triathlon history.

isands cross triathlon starachowice

iSandS Cross Triathlon Tour Starachowice is an off-road triathlon in Starachowice, based by the Lubianka reservoir, with the race office in the WOPR building on race morning. The main sprint-format race has three parts: a 0.72 km swim, a 19.69 km bike leg, and a 5.02 km run. It sits within the wider iSandS Cross Triathlon Tour and also appears in listings as the Polish Championship in Cross Triathlon / TRI POP CUP. The course is short enough to suit newer triathletes, but it is not a flat road triathlon: the bike leg adds 153 m of climbing and the run adds another 26 m. People can enter solo or as relay teams, and the event also includes children’s racing, with categories such as Żak, Młodzik, K9-10, and M9-10. Adult results are split into sprint and relay races, with women’s K1-K5 and men’s M1-M6 age groups, and the tour keeps a general classification after two starts.

About cycling & running in Radom

Radom Training Notes

Running: Radom runners use the city centre, Południe, Borki lake, and the Mleczna River side for normal base miles. Street Run Radom feels like active people you meet on the streets of Radom and around it. Locals run for fitness, health, or chasing the dreams that keep moving away. Borki lake works well for steady Z2 and short intervals when you want simple laps. The first route covers 12 km and gains 258 m. The second route covers 17 km and gains 121 m. Czerwcowa Piątka, Biegiem Radom, and Polmaraton Radomskiego Czerwca '76 anchor the calendar.

Cycling: Radom riders get a practical city, not a show pony. The city has around 90 km of bike paths, and the city bike system has been running since 2015. Locals use Route 2 from Radom to Jedlnia-Letnisko, Route 6 from Radom to Błotnica, and Route 8 from Radom to Jedlińsk for honest base miles. Route 7 from Radom through Bardzice to Orońsko and Route 10 through Kowala to Orońsko suit faster group work. The brief names no dedicated cycling club, so events carry the scene. Lotto Triathlon Energy Radom, Starachowicka Strzała, and Mtbcrossmaraton Starachowice give riders targets. Route 1 around Szydłowiec and Route 4 around Iłża are the named places to look for climbing work.

Season: Radom training feels best when the paths are clear, the lake is open, and everyone is stacking steady weeks. Zalew Borki has two summer bathing areas, so summer runs and rides can finish near water, pedal boats, or SUPs. Locals keep the hard stuff short in heat and push longer Z2 early or late. The city centre stays useful for intervals when you need control. Winter changes the rhythm for both sports. Radom keeps a skating rink and skate rental in winter, so cross-training is easy. Runners keep going from park to park, while cyclists move more work onto safer path sections, cyclocross-style loops, or indoor legs.
