ランニング： 地元の人たちは、まずドナウ川沿いを走るんだ。そこからGlacis、Klenzepark、Auwald、Piuspark、そして旧市街を繋げて走ると、気持ちよく流せるよ。Runn(ing)olstadtは社交的な感じだし、もし気軽に誰かと一緒に走りたいなら、8070Runnersが毎週火曜の18:30に集まってるよ。そのルートは74 kmで獲得標高42 mだから、Z2とか、ちょっとずつペースを上げていく練習にちょうどいいんだ。もう一つのループは61 kmで34 m上る感じ。Kaufland Firmenlauf IngolstadtとSparkasse Ingolstadt Eichstätt Halbmarathonが、ここでの大きな目玉イベントだね。

サイクリング： 地元の人たちは、気が向かない限りは平坦を走るね。base milesでちょっと負荷をかけたい日は、9 kmで707 m上るルートもあるよ。Klick Klack Clubは、ロードバイクで43-60 kmを26-30 km/hで、平坦かちょっとしたアップダウンのあるライドをやってるし、あと50 kmのgravelライドも25 km/hで走ってるよ。上り坂はJura foothillsやDonau-Isar-Hügellandのほうにあるんだ。Donau Runが主催する8020 trophyは、critよりgran fondo派の君でも、年間を通して目標になる地元のイベントだよ。

シーズン： 7月と8月は、インゴルシュタットがランニングもサイクリングも一番盛り上がる時期って感じかな。Klenzeparkは暖かい季節には毎月約100,000人の来場者があるから、公園が混み出す前にしっかりしたintervalsやZ2をやりたい地元民は、早朝から走り出すんだ。ドナウ川沿いの道は夜の軽いライドに使えるし、Baggerseeは軽いランニングにいいし、Auwaldは日陰が多いから助かるね。冬になると、コース自体が変わるというよりは、走るリズムが変わる感じかな。ランナーは街中のループコースを使うことが多くなるし、サイクリストは平坦な道を重点的に走るようになるね。雨の後は、森の中の道は速いsingletrackというよりは、cyclocrossっぽい感じになるよ。
