Béziers

Béziers sits on the Orb river in the flat Languedoc plain, but serious cyclists head north into the rolling limestone hills of the Haut-Languedoc within 15–20km for sustained climbs and the Orb gorges. The region's cycling calendar centres on the Souvenir Philippe Humbert Saute Ponts D'orb and La course des chapelles, both rough road and gravel events in the foothills. Running is mostly canal-towpath flat around the city itself, with occasional trail routes into the low scrub hills to the north.
