Mountain biking dominates the cycling calendar: the MTB Marathon 10th Serras do Porto covers 80km through the forested ridge system 20–30km inland, while the UR70K Barcadouro and Passeio BTT Bombeiros de Messines routes work the same technical terrain with serious altitude gain. Road cyclists face constant rolling hills moving away from the coast; flat river-valley options exist but are secondary to the demanding Serra landscape that defines training here.
