Lethbridge

Lethbridge sits on the Oldman River in southern Alberta with minimal elevation change—the Coulee Cactus Crawl 32km running event and Rita's Run 10km course both exploit the flat terrain and prairie wind. Cyclists favour the river valley paths and the gently rolling coulees to the west; the landscape opens up toward the Rocky Mountains 100km northwest, but local riding stays within the shortgrass prairie zone at around 900–1000m elevation.
