The Côte d'Azur is a cyclist's playground—rocky limestone hills rise steeply from the Mediterranean coast, with the Esterel Massif offering relentless climbing in the 15–25km range inland. The GravelMan Series Côte d'Azur and Gravel Roquettan draw local riders to the technical gravel routes threading through the red rock ridges above Cannes. Runners stick to the seafront promenade and park loops near the Croisette for easy miles, but serious trail runners head to the Esterel for steep rocky ascents and panoramic Mediterranean views within 20km of town.
