The Drop Glasgow
The Drop Glasgow begins with runners surrendering phones, watches, and maps before being blindfolded and boarded onto a bus. They are then transported to an undisclosed location outside Glasgow and must navigate back to Ocho at Speir's Wharf on foot, with choices of 6, 10, or 15 miles. These distances are measured as the crow flies, meaning the actual mileage depends on each runner's route selection and ability to read the terrain.
No course markers, maps, or pre-set routes are provided. This event combines trail running with urban navigation across the West of Scotland surrounding Glasgow, with each participant devising their own unique path. Some runners might opt for roads, paths, or prominent landmarks, while others might navigate towards higher ground. Wrong turns can add significant mileage. While past results are recorded, the event's nature emphasizes decision-making under pressure over adherence to a predetermined course.

ランニング: Glasgowの地元ランナーは、シンプルに走ってるよ。Kelvingrove ParkはWest Endで短〜中距離の周回コースにいいし、木が立ち並ぶKelvin Wayは俺のお気に入りの走り出しルートかな。Victoria Parkには、ペースをコントロールしたい時にぴったりの2kmのアスファルト周回コースがある。River Clyde沿いはCambuslangまでずっとフラットだから、楽にZ2のベースマイルを稼ぐのに最適だよ。Glasgow Greenはフラットで速いワークアウト向きだし、脚が距離を求めてる時はClyde Walkwayを40 miles走れる。Hares and Hounds、Springburn Harriers、Bellahouston Roadrunners、Shettleston Harriers、HWJ Run Club、Outlier Run Club、Glasgow FrontRunnersといったクラブが毎週イベントをやってて、忙しく過ごせるね。Great Scottish Run、Brian Goodwin 10K、3K on the Green、Run The Blades、Glasgow To Edinburgh Ultraが年間カレンダーの目玉レースだ。
