Norwegian endurance is fjord-and-mountain defined. Oslo Marathon, Bergen Marathon and the legendary Birkebeinerrennet ski-marathon (90km in 1206 tradition) anchor the calendar; trail running thrives in Nordmarka, Hardangervidda and the Lofoten archipelago.

Cyclists target Nordmarka Rundt (148km), the Trondheim-Oslo Norwegian Audax, the Lofoten Insomnia 24-hour, and granfondo climbs through the Sognefjord region. The midnight sun above the Arctic Circle and the dramatic terrain everywhere south of it make Norway one of Europe's most photogenic race destinations.
