35. Herbstlauf TuS Ofen

The Herbstlauf TuS Ofen is a family-oriented running event in Ofen, a district of Bad Zwischenahn on the western edge of Oldenburg in Lower Saxony. Organized by TuS Ofen, a local sports club supporting competitive, recreational, community, and health sports, it takes place in early October. The race day features several distances: an 800 m run for the youngest children, a 3 km schoolchildren's run, a 5 km walking route, a 5 km open run, and the 10 km EDEKA-Böse-Lauf for those seeking a greater challenge. Start and finish are at the TuS Ofen sports field on Rudolf-Kinau-Weg, centering the event on the club grounds. The race's local character is prominent: every finisher receives a gingerbread heart, and the sports hall offers food alongside a large cake buffet. Practicalities like bag drop are managed in the new gymnasium near race number pickup. Ofen, with its rural background as a former farming community, has experienced shifting municipal borders around Oldenburg and now belongs to Bad Zwischenahn. The name originates from an Old High German word for meadow or wetland, reflecting the area's historical rural identity.

Osternburger Mittsommernachts-Berglauf

The Osternburger Mittsommernachts-Berglauf is a 5.4 km mountain run in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, held annually around midsummer at the Osternburger Utkiek. It begins at 21:06, aligning with its name: an evening race utilizing the extended daylight of midsummer, distinct from a typical morning road race. A Nordic walking option is also available, making the event suitable for participants beyond those seeking a strenuous hill effort. The course navigates the Osternburger Utkiek, a 48-hectare green space in the Osternburg district developed on the former Eidechsenstrasse landfill. Three artificial hills were constructed during the landfill's operation, now connected by park paths. The most notable feature is the S-shaped ridge trail linking the summits of these three mounds, with the peak of the Neufeld cone designated as the Utkiek, or lookout point. This transformation from landfill to parkland shapes the race's unique character: a short course with significant elevation gain, set within a landscape reclaimed from industrial use instead of natural mountains.

44. Lop dwasch dörn Wildenloh

Lop dwasch dörn Wildenloh is a forest running event in the Wildenloh area near Oldenburg-Eversten, starting and finishing at the Trimmplatz. Team-Laufrausch organizes it. The program includes an untimed Jedermannlauf for a relaxed run and several performance races with placings. The open run allows participants to choose one to four loops, ranging from 2250 metres to 9000 metres. The performance races feature a 1600-metre children’s run, a 3200-metre middle distance, and a 9000-metre long distance. The route is loop-based and marked with red for longer courses and green for shorter loops. Field sizes are capped: 60 in the Jedermannlauf, 50 in the children’s and youth race, 80 over the middle distance, and 140 over the long distance. The setup is basic forest racing: online entry only, no late registration, tea at the finish, nearby parking but not at the Trimmplatz during the race, and no toilets or showers. The top three male and female finishers in the performance runs get trophies and certificates, and all runners can print a certificate post-race.

シーズン： 6月はランナーにとってちょっとした楽しみがあるんだ。Osternburger Mittsommernachts-Berglaufが6月21日にUtkiek Osternburgであるからだよ。夏のライドはシンプルで、95%以上が舗装路、静かな道、緑の畑が広がってて、ブレーメンとオルデンブルクの間には、毎回インターバルになることなく、しっかりエンデュランスの練習ができる十分な距離があるんだ。街の中心部や広い住宅街の道は、仕事の後でもきれいでリラックスして走れるよ。TuS Jaderbergは10月25日のWinterlauf- und Wanderserieで、冬のイベントシーズンをスタートさせるんだ。冬になると、地元の人たちは両方のスポーツを舗装されたフラットなコースで続けて、ヒルクライムデーよりは安定した距離を走る気分になるね。
