Regensburg Marathon

The Regensburg Marathon begins and ends at the Westbad in Regensburg. Participants run the full 42.195 kilometers on the weekend following Ascension Day. First held in 1990 and organized by LLC Marathon Regensburg, it is primarily a city marathon, offering alternative distances for those not wishing to complete the full marathon. The event also features a half marathon, and a shorter race that evolved from a 10 km run into a quarter marathon. The course is flat and fast, making it suitable for runners aiming for a personal best and for local athletes seeking a competitive spring race. It winds past several of Regensburg’s medieval sites, such as the Stone Bridge and the Gothic East Gate, dating from approximately 1300. These features lend the race a distinct local character without introducing significant elevation changes or complexity to the route. The course records stand at 2:12:19 for men, set by Dmitri Kapitonov, and 2:30:38 for women, achieved by Kathrin Wessel.

Regensburger Welt-Kult-Tour

The Regensburger Welt-Kult-Tour is a road cycling event held in Regensburg, Bavaria. Riders use public roads and paths instead of a closed circuit. It takes place in September, organized by Biketeam Regensburg e.V. The event allows cyclists to select their own challenge, ranging from a 60 km Fitness-Tour with 400 meters of elevation gain to a 205 km Marathon with 2,500 meters of climbing. The route options shape the event: 95 km, 125 km, 175 km, and 205 km routes progressively increase distance and elevation. Three Kings Ultra Trail

The Three Kings Ultra Trail is a small winter trail-running series held in Reichenbach, Bavaria, on Epiphany. RunFellows organizes it, offering three distances: the 74 km Three Kings Ultra Trail, the 43 km Three Kings Half Way Trail, and the 14 km Three Kings Shorty Trail. The event is designed for a limited field, typically under 100 participants, creating an atmosphere more akin to a local trail gathering than a large-scale competition. Participants receive aid stations along the course and at the finish, access to showers and changing rooms, complimentary bag drop, personalized bibs, digital certificates, and a start-number lottery as a small race-day tradition.

レーゲンスブルク練習メモ

ランニング： レーゲンスブルクは、旧市街からドナウ川、Jahninsel、Wöhr、Donaupark、Doppelter Dörnbergparkまで、ランナーが気軽に周回できるコースがいっぱいあるよ。Z2で淡々と走りたい時は、獲得標高51 mしかない38 kmのDonauländeルートを走るランナーが多いね。Running Club Regensburgは毎週火曜の18:30にBismarckplatzに集まっていて、ソーシャルランはだいたい6:30 min/kmくらいだよ。LLC Marathon RegensburgはWestbad/Infineonの近くで毎週木曜と月曜に練習してる。Regensburg Marathonがメインイベントだけど、Firmenlauf RegensburgやNikolauslauf Regensburgもカレンダーを賑わせてるよ。Waldmeisterlauf Paintenは森や牧草地の道を走るクロスカントリーレースだね。

サイクリング： レーゲンスブルクは自転車には本当に良い環境で、3,559ものルートがあって、ベースマイルを稼ぐのに十分なリバーライドもできるんだ。脚を休めたい時は、地元の人たちはWalhallaまで12 kmのサイクリングロードとか、ドナウ川スタートでMattingまで約13 kmのコースを軽く流してるよ。RSC 1988 Regensburgは「Tuesday Classics」をやっていて、RTFやレース、critに向けて真剣なクラブ練習をしてるよ。WKT300 - der Rennrad-Spendenmarathonと19. Regensburger Welt-Kult-Tourが地元の大きなイベントだね。坂道は南の方にあって、Regensburg - Ambergルートだと1,058 m、R-Kallmünz-Regen-R100だと1,138 mの獲得標高があるよ。

シーズン： 6月と7月は最高の時期で、サイクリストも道にいっぱい出てくるし、Tuesday Classicsや長距離のgran fondoイベントも盛んだね。7月が一番暑い月で、レーゲンスブルクは年間1,670時間の晴天があるから、インターバルとかマラソン練習が本格的になると、地元の人たちは早朝から走り始めるよ。夏でも街の中心部は走れるけど、旧市街を通るルートだと石畳だから気をつけないとね。1月が一番寒い月で、冬になるとランナーは安定したソーシャルラン中心になるし、サイクリストはロードシーズンが落ち着くと、短めのライドやクラブ練、cyclocrossに切り替える感じかな。
