I am Me Jamboree
I am Me Jamboree is a walk/run/roll event in downtown Columbus, Indiana, starting and finishing at Fourth Street and Franklin. It offers two distances: a 0.5k (approximately 0.3 miles) and a 5k (3.1 miles). The event is for all ages, abilities, and paces, with at least two hours allocated so participants can complete either course without pressure. The courses are designed for people with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities, including participants who use assistive devices or need support. Strollers and wagons are permitted, but recreational vehicles, bicycles, and similar devices are not. The event originated from the organizer's personal experience with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, which affected the organizer and their father. Its proceeds support a disability-focused charity, with a different beneficiary selected annually.
