Freiburg Training Notes

Running: Locals run Freiburg from the Dreisam side first, because the river line gives you easy base miles without thinking too hard. FT-Lauftreff keeps it social through FT 1844 Freiburg, and the Community Run meets every Thursday from 18:00 to 19:00 at the HOKK on the club grounds. Pace groups sit at 6:00-6:30 min/km and 6:30-7:00 min/km, so nobody has to fake hero legs. The Running Unit meets Mondays at 18:00 on the Sandfangbrücke and covers 6-8 kilometers. Cycling: Locals ride Freiburg like a mountain-adjacent town, because the Black Forest rises east and the Upper Rhine Plain opens west. Winter stays workable for both sports, because February often sits between 0C and 10C.
