The Ventoux Gravel Classic is a gravel race based in Sault, a village in Vaucluse in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France. It is run at the end of September and offers two course options, 60 km and 69 km, both built around mountain terrain and natural tracks rather than city roads.
The routes use technical trails and open Provençal landscapes, requiring off-road handling as much as steady endurance. Riders are told to bring mountain-bike shoes, indicating the surface under the tires. Mont Ventoux is nearby, and the surrounding area also puts Gordes, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, and the Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards within reach after the race.
