La seillonnaise
La Seillonnaise is a small nature-running event in Bourg-en-Bresse, in the Ain department of eastern France. The start and finish are at the Gymnase des Vennes on the route de Seillon. It is usually run in mid-October and organised by CAP SEILLON. The programme includes a 17 km nature race, a 10 km nature race, and a 10 km Nordic walk or hike that is not timed. The routes use the forest of Seillon, making it a trail event rather than a road race through town. The 17 km race has two aid stations on the course plus one at the finish. The 10 km race has one on-course aid station and one at the finish. The 10 km race counts toward the Challenge Agglo, and the walk is free for under-16s. Profits from all three events go each year to Rêves, an association that helps seriously ill children make a personal dream come true.
