Ultramarsch Eifel 110km
The Ultramarsch Eifel 110km begins and ends in Stolberg, Germany. Runners follow a loop through the Eifel region, covering over 2,300 meters of elevation gain. This is an ultra-distance event, not a typical city road race, with a 26-hour cutoff and a maximum of 400 participants. A 55km option is also available, but the 110km is designated as the full Eifel-X-TREM. The route goes from Stolberg via Vicht, Vossenack, Simmerath, Einruhr, Woffelsbach, Schmidt, Nideggen, and Gey before returning to Stolberg. Historically, few participants have finished, with some editions seeing only a handful of men and women complete the course. This suggests it functions more as a demanding regional endurance challenge than a large-scale ultra. Finishing times typically range from 15 to 17 hours, indicating the significant impact of the terrain and distance.
