Bergamo

Bergamo's upper old town sits 370m above the Lombardy plain, making it a magnet for hill repeats and gravel climbing — runners tackle steep cobbled streets and the surrounding ridge trails, while the Strawoman 10K races through the historic centre. Cyclists use Bergamo as a launch point for the pre-Alps: the BGY Airport Granfondo and BERGHEM#MolaMia both exploit the rolling terrain and serious climbs within 30–50km north toward the Orobie massif. The flat Sarnico Lovere Half Marathon route heads west along the glacial lakes for a change of pace.
